What is BeLeaf - Be The future?
It is a competitive initiative organised by Philip Morris in collaboration with Almacube in order to select and collaborate with companies that develop innovative solutions applicable within the Philip Morris Italia group.
Who can apply?
Innovative companies that are formally established, with technologies or solutions capable of effectively addressing one of the proposed challenges. All people participating to the initiatives must be of legal age.
How can my company apply?
It is necessary to carefully read the Regulation and then create a profile by clicking on the “Apply Here” button at the top right of the page. Afterward it is necessary to follow the online procedure to fill out and submit the application form.
Which are the planned activities?
The initiative is developed in two main phases, the schedule of which is available in the section Program. During the first phase, participants present their project and, if selected, participate in the Pitching Session in front of the jury composed of representatives of Philip Morris Italia and some partners. In the second phase, the selected realities participate in the acceleration and co-design program with Philip Morris Italia.
Are there any costs to participate?
No, the initiative is completely free for participants and is equity-free.Additionally, the companies selected to participate in the co-design program will receive a recognition of €5,000.00 for their participation in the program.
How is intellectual property managed?
The program is not aimed at creating new intellectual property rights ("New IP"), but rather at assessing the technical requirements and interest for a collaboration between PMI and one or more start-ups, spin-offs, or companies, while fully respecting the confidentiality of information and existing intellectual property rights, both of PMI and the start-ups, spin-offs, or companies involved.
